Is there a song that you know every word to, but you swear up and down that you can't stand it? When it comes to pop music, that's not an uncommon occurrence. Pop songs are designed to be infectious and catchy, even if the listener doesn't actually like the song itself. However, if you're just saying that to avoid the embarrassment of liking such a song, I won't judge you. Let's look at just four songs that you probably know every word to, but you swear you hate them.

Mariah Carey has been the reigning queen of Christmas for years now. You can't go anywhere in public around the holidays without hearing this 1994 hit playing somewhere. That might be why some people straight-up hate this song. It's a good pop track, but it's very much overplayed. Still, once Carey gets to the chorus, it's hard not to sing along.

This 2014 song from Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson brought funk-pop and boogie music back to mainstream consciousness. It's one of the most infectious songs on this list. Like Mariah Carey's hit, though, it was played to death for a few years after it was released. If you hate it, I don't blame you. But when Mars sings "Uptown funk gonna give it to you / Don't believe me? / Just watch," it's hard not to belt those lines out, too.

I know every word to this song, and I'm not ashamed of it. "All Star" was one of the last great power pop-rock songs to come out of the turn of the century, in my opinion. The lyrics are pretty easy to memorize, and kids that grew up watching Shrek just can't help themselves when this alt-rock hit from Smash Mouth comes on.

Released in 2009, "Party In The USA" nearly topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it first hit the airwaves. It's a shameless pop song, and I'll bet that when no one's looking, you sing along to it just like I do. No judgement here.
