AKIPRESS.COM - The Bishkek City Police Department has moved into the former State Committee National Security (GKNB) building after a full renovation, the President's Administration reports.
On November 1, President Sadyr Japarov visited the updated facility, which is now fully modernized and equipped to meet current operational needs. The building includes offices for operational units, investigators, and patrol officers, as well as improved spaces for public services and press events.
A new Situation Center, integrated with the "Safe City" project, has been launched there. It uses advanced analytical and video monitoring systems to track city conditions in real time and improve public safety.
Japarov emphasized that strengthening the technical and material base of law enforcement remains a key state priority.
Following the tour, Japarov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Kamchybek Tashiev, and Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov took part in a tree-planting event on the department's grounds.
