On July 20 officers and fire officials responded to a fire alarm at a residence.
When officers arrived, they found a man standing outside who said he had been working on the house when the alarm went off. It was determined the alarm was accidental due to dust from an interior renovation.
The 39-year-old Garfield Heights man had an outstanding arrest warrant with the Lorain County Sheriff. He was arrested.
Altercation, Lakeview Road
On July 23 a caller reported an altercation between a man and a woman outside of a home.
The 58-year-old man said that he and his girlfriend had been drinking and got into an argument.
He was attempting to leave and she would not let him. The 38-year-old woman was found in the house and admitted to the argument and said there was no violence.
The two were separated for the night and no charges were filed.
Violation, Pease Drive
On July 24 an officer doing parking enforcement came upon a Chevy parked on the street during restricted hours. The car had seven unpaid parking tickets on file. The car was towed to the Rocky River Police impound lot until tickets and tow fees were paid.
