Ann Arbor-based Michigan Medicine has joined Longitude Health, marking the first new addition to the health system-led innovation collaborative since its creation in 2024.

Four things to know:

1. Four nonprofit systems launched Longitude Heath in October 2024 to tackle healthcare's most pressing challenges by combining their resources and expertise. The group's founding members are:

2. Michigan Medicine will support the group's current initiatives to improve specialty medication access, population health and the patient financial experience.

3. David Miller, MD, president of University of Michigan Health, will also join Longitude Health's board of managers.

4. Longitude Health said it aims to add additional health system members in the future that align with its values and mission.
