More St. Pat's

In addition to Baton Rouge, Denham Springs will also be celebrating on Saturday at Main Street's St. Patrick's Day Parade. The 5 p.m. procession rolls from Denham Springs High School along Range Avenue, ending at Veterans Boulevard. Watch out for flying cabbage and moon pies. A prime watching spot is the Antique Village.

Ready for some football?

The East Baton Rouge Parish Library's 19th One Book One Community selection is "Season of Life" by Jeffrey Marx. This six-week celebration of football and youth mentorship opens with a free tailgate kickoff party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the Main Library at Goodwood. Entertainment, food, children's activities and more.

Back on the ice
