Robert, a client of the Lowcountry Food Bank, has been living alone since his wife passed away seven years ago. Since then, he has barely managed to stay afloat living on his limited income.

Robert's daughter and grandsons unexpectedly moved in with him before school started after they could no longer afford their rent. Robert is grateful for their company, but keeping a roof over their heads and food on the table consumes his every thought.

Robert wants his grandkids to have the childhood they deserve, and not having to worry about having enough food for everyone to eat over the holidays would take a huge weight off his shoulders.

Your donation to the Good Cheer Fund can help the Lowcountry Food Bank make the holidays brighter for Robert's family.

Contributions to The Post and Courier's Good Cheer Fund have helped the less fortunate in the Lowcountry since 1927. The nine charitable organizations sharing the funds collected are Operation Home, One80 Place, East Cooper Community Outreach, the Lowcountry Food Bank, The Salvation Army, Star Gospel Mission, the Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, Coastal Catholic Charities and Landmarks for Families. Every cent of the money goes directly to the agencies, as there are no administrative costs involved.
